Front and back work

I know I have been lax on the front end of this site and have left my original bitty rubbish layout in place for almost half of the pages whilst the other half have no styling in them at all, but that all started to change today. My issue has been colours, I know that sounds odd but I haven't found a set of colours I liked enough to give me an idea of help me drive forward the design. That is until today.

Yesterday I saw an unlikely colour combo (a dark blue and a lime green) that I thought looked nice. After some playing about I have put together a pallet of dark blue and green tones to use in the design. On top of this I also pulled together 3 more set to compliment those pulling in greys,light grey/blues and light blues. That way I could have a wide range of colours to help with the design. Now I am still wanting to go with most of the layout Idea I had originally for the site for the film page as that's what I had working in bootstrap already. So I am going to try and style this with these new colours and make some small layout changes in the hope I can come up with something.

On top of all of this I once again spent a bit of time working on the admin section and the database and have added a new bit of functionality that I had been pondering. Whether this will make it to the main art of the site remains to be seen but at the moment I have it working in the admin section so I can choose whether to add and or continue on filling up the database with info.

I have added the ability to add names, be them actors or directors or such. You can now apply these names to films, so it can start to build up extra tags related to the films. For example the first name I added was Steve Gutenberg, I then tagged him with 4 films that are in the Database (police academy 1& 2, Short Circuit and Lavalantula). Now these names could be added into keywords (meta or normal) for the film page or I could add a part that it shows names of people associated with the film. Then by clicking on that name you could be taken to a page showing you all the films that person has been tagged with and perhaps show similar people tagged as well. This is just a proof of concept at the moment, whether it makes it into the site or not is another thing.
