just no... no!

So after the hassle from the last couple of days with special characters I have resorted to my first solution after trying unsuccessfully fixing it to work in another way. I did a whole load of reading up on this and it seems that my first solution was the best one as having the Data Base entry having a HTML special character replacement means that you cant actually search against it and there are no DB functions to deal with these special characters.

So after a load of coding and recoding and what have you I had to push everything back to how it was. This means that I need to amend the name entry and link creation functions so they deal with these special characters before they are put into the database other wise things are going to break.
