Stalling
So after the re-installing of everything and what not I thought it woudl have been easy enough to pick back up where I left off. Obviously not! Basically I tried a couple of times in vein to pull the saves onto the new install and run those but things just kept f**king up and not working, I am not sure why. I reasoned it would be better and easier if I just re-started and that way all the fiddly bits I had badly coded or done wrong I woudl do right this time round, so off I started. Aaaaannnnd stopped pretty much soon after, never to have re-touched since then as I have been busy. Yup super busy, I was away on holiday then ended up coming loads of stuff at work, then derby got in the way and now thanks to some other stuff I am back at the gym and trying to learn some Italian which is going quite well actually. So I am pretty busy but I do want to get back into this, but here is the kicker. I am thinking about changing the software I was using so basically re-re starting from the beginning and learning new software all over again.
I was never 100% happy with the way some things worked like animations and such and I am sure there are better ways to do it than I found out but I never found those. So I went back to re-looking into all of this and have decided to give Unity a chance. This is a much more powerful and heavier piece of software so a much bigger learning curve, but I do like a challenge..eek doubt its going to work but from what I have seen online it may well be more in line in my way of thinking of what I want to achieve. Thing is yeh im still sh*t at design and coding but I really do want to try this so over the next 3-4 weeks my aim is to get this downloaded watch a few tutorials and give it a go and see what I can do. Progress shall be monitored here, then based on results I will decide if I want to go ahead and try and make my own game in this.
