Brain Wave

I did not get a chance to do any work last night as I had planned as I ended up working late then went to the gym and the shops and did not get home till after 8pm. So instead I took a night off and just watched a film.

Whilst this was not very helpful in finishing off project WRA, it did give me time just to relax. Although I may have been relaxing my mind was still trying to work out a solution to the cloud situation as I am still not happy with what I have. On my way into work this morning I hit upon an idea that should work and help with the difficulty level of the game as well.

My idea is simple, I create front and background clouds and place all in game objects on the screen. Positioning them where I want and looks right. Now in the game controller I can create two arrays filled with references to the front and back clouds, so when the game starts and the scene is getting set up, based on what difficulty level you have chose clouds are made visible or hidden. That way I am always in control of where the clouds are and so the more clouds used the more difficult the game the less the easier. as the front clouds will obscure the players vision of bombs when they drop behind them. A simple solution and one that works in an extra bit of difficulty. I may still have the clouds move a little so they aren't static, perhaps a little bobble on the spot or a small rotation just to make them less static.
