Lazy Weekend
This weekend I dialled things back a bit as I had been spending a bit too much time working on this, as lock down meant I was literally working, finishing then coding on this all week. So Saturday I was off to visit Nick and his family then today was fathers day so I was round to visit my dad. I did though find a bit of time to wok on things and I created this.
Whilst it may not look much it was the start of things. This has all hit collision working for enemies and bullets, plus it has a kind of angled firing going on.
After I created this I was reading up about how this worked and different ways to do things and discovered a better easier way to do the rotation/angle part. I knocked together a trial and it worked first time. I took a bit of time to tweak it and get it working more how I wanted but it works well. On top of this I played about a little with the wav and sequence creator to better understand that.
So for next week I have a few things I want to work on, first would be to create the player sprites in this test cart, along with the swivel of the top so i points in your shooting direction. Once that is done, I will integrate all of this into the main cart.
Then I need to test and tweak what I have as thats the main game mechanics sorted. Then I need to rework a load of my code as I have a few features I want to add into this, but the way some things are coded will not allow fr this. So I need to re-work a few processes and functions. I also need to come up with the main game logo.
