Damn Turkletonnnnn
So the weather this weekend was terrible (rain all the time), so Instead of the things I had planned I ended up at my laptop working on this. On Saturday what was only going to be a couple of hours turned into 5 straight hours coding as I finished off and tidied up the work from the previous day. I re-wrote a load of functions and also added in some more, whilst trying to get the game into some sort of shape e.g. home screen, game, game over, restart.
This was a little bit tricky and I have to say my code is shit and totally not how you would or probably should do it but it works and this is my first Pic8 game so I can be forgiven for that I feel. I also added in a few little features as well for in game.
Sunday I wasn't going to work on it, but got up early as I had a terrible sleep, tidied, baked a cake and it wasn't even 11am by then so started a bit of sprite work. Got the logo done and a few bits then dropped these into place. I then got focused and got the music and sfx done and into place. I tidied up a few bit and bobs whilst adding in a opening anim on the home screen along with a better way to restart the game.
basically I spent about 16-17 hours overthe whole weekend working on this and did 99% of everything left on my list to do on it. Now all that is left is, testing and tweaking that difficulty curve. You can check out the almost complete game here.
