Inroads

so I have changed my thinking on this project a tad. Im not changing what the website should be promoting/doing im just changing how we do it. Gone is the flat html files and in is a custom built simple easy kind of cms by me. See we have two people who are web savvy but going forward if we arent there who updates the site!!?!?

So if we keep the same idea for the content but make it easy to update it all then job is a good one. But if I'm going to do that then we need to have URL friendly pages, so I have been looking into doing just that. I have set up a url rewrite to take a whats in the url and use that to find the right page. I.e. website.com/this-page-is/ s typing this it takes this-page-is as a variable to find the corresponding page in the database and then display that info. Even got it all working a ok after about 4 hours of testing :D

as for the design/layout after working with bootstrap at work for anew website i think thats the best idea for us. That means it will take care of the grid layout and and re-sizing stuff when on a smaller screen. All is looking good so far, need to work on a design though hmm now that could be difficult.
