Early change

So work has commenced on this project but we are now making a small change in direction. Myself and Ross have been discussing a few things and he suggested about looking into a CMS rather than building our own. We didnt want to get bogged down with a lot of things that CMS's had to offer and wanted something that was quite simple and pretty easy to work with. After a quick search he suggested getsimple CMS.

I had a quick look into it and was impressed with what it was and could do. It doesn't have a DB back end and everything is stored in XML files it seems. The down side to it all is its not well known and the plug in's for it are limited. This how ever hasn't stopped us and we have installed a test version and I went through and pulled out lots of plugin's and a couple of templates for us to install on it to see how they all work.

This could be quite interesting or it may not be quite exactly what we are looking for but we don't want to write it off yet until we make our mind up about it. In other news CCRD now have a new logo, which is pretty cool but round which means its going to be a bit of a nightmare to incorporate into a template design.
