Lot's of info but what is necessary
Been slow with work on this project of late and there has been a good reason or two, honest. The main reason is this, whilst it is great having access to all of this info split up in a database and being able to split it all up and search it and pull stats from it all. How much of it is necessary and how much is just doing it because I can.
Or more what I mean is how do I display/set out the info and split it all up in a way that makes it feel necessary and complimenting the data at hand. For example on the first page I don't want to go into specific stats drilled right down say to do with specific head refs. that isnt pertinent. I could have a head ref page and display that information there. Same with teams/leagues I have reffed. woudl be good to have stats on what teams I have reffed and how many times same with leagues as some have more than 1 team.
So at the moment I am trying to sift through all the info and work out what is most important and how to split up the info. I know this though, that the homepage will be as simple as possible and also showcase the biggest collection of data as in all the records but in a manageable way. then from there you can drill down and get more in depth with the information.
At the moment the homepage is going to host this info Total games reffed (break down into yearly totals), game break down between womens/mens/co-ed/jr, total list of all games reffed (tabled) and all head reff's I have had with access to more info based around that head ref on a different page. i.e. games reffed with them, positions reffed in with them, teams and leagues reffed with them.
I have also found the graph system I shall use to go with these pages, which shoudl cover all the graphs I want i.e. pie, bar etc
