I referee roller derby and I have a spreadsheet to keep track of how many games I have reff'd and also keep information about the game like, where it was, the date it was on, the referee position I did and who my head ref was that day. Whilst updating it recently I got to thinking about how good it woudl be to have all this information in a database so I could query it and pull out stats really easily. For example how many games I had done, how many were men's or women's games. How many times I had reffed with specific head ref's or reffed specific teams.
