Sectioning

I haven't done much work on this for a little while as I was busy working on the Movies website and also busy in general reffing as its been a busy end to this year and by the looks of it with only 7 weeks left of this year I have another 6-7 games to ref although one double header might be cancelled. I have though been using the admin functionality that I had built so far to keep adding games I have been reffing and am happy to report that it all works as it should.

The other day I was looking at the public facing page and was trying to work out a few things from the information listed there. Whilst it was easy to see the amount of games I had reffed in a given year it was less so trying to find the specific games. So I added in quickly a bit of functionality that when you select the year or the amount of games for a particular year you get taken to a new page that shows you only that games for that specific year.

I started to add in the same functionality for head ref's but noticed an issue with the way I was working this and had to stop. This will need a bit more tweaking at the htaccess level as I need to work out how this should work for leagues and teams as well as this could really muck up other parts of the site as there will be a lot of info being passed via the url and I want to tie it down so we have specifics as I don't like having vague specs.

This shouldn't be too difficult to do but I just need to sit down and work it out, once I have it should be pretty super easy to put drill down pages with info into place. I also (especially for the HR pages) need to work out what info I want to show. As I want to list all the games I have done with that HR, also all the positions I have reffed under that HR and perhaps some other stats like teams and leagues we have reffed together as well. That way it really does become a mesh of different interesting info.
