Splitting the content

So now that I have a lot of the building blocks already working in one way or another in test formats i have been re-writing them and linking them all together. I have decided that when an image is uploaded it will be saved to a folder called big, this is where all the large versions of the images will be uploaded to. These images will be re-sized at time of upload so they do not go over 600px wide or 600 px high so they can be viewable in the browser ok. Seeing as the plan is to upload images that have been taken from my phone or camera it makes sense to reduce the image size of the larger file.

Once the large file has been saved and re-sized, a second copy of that file will be made and saved in a folder called small. This is where the thumbnail’s for the larger image’s will be kept. This image file will then also be re-sized to a thumbnail size (100px by 100px).
